I designed this model in 2019 to fill the gap between a log and a mid-length, and to remove the frustration of wanting something less cumbersome in bigger 4 - 5ft + surf than a log, but with super early wave entry, Enter ‘The Rev’….

This exciting shape allows for fluid stylish moves, allowing you to cut back with ease, accelerate out of turns, climb and drop to draw speed from steep sections, or just enjoy the outstanding wave catching ability and smooth fast trim on waves from 1ft to overhead.

It achieves all this due to a gently rolled belly and flat rocker. Gently kicked tail rocker and Vee for easy rail to rail transitions, combined with a hard edged rail in the tail section for release. The wide point back and narrower nose template that reduces swing weight, combined with all the tail elements, make the Rev a breeze to turn, and an absolute blast to ride.

All rider abilities will find this easy to catch waves on, but intermediate and advanced surfers will really be able to get the most from this shape. It also makes an reliable travel board as it works in such a vast variety of wave sizes and conditions.

Design features:

Outline: narrow nose, wide point pulled back from centre, wide pintail.

Rails: Tucked under in the tail transitioning to soft pinched through the mid section to up in the nose.

Bottom contours: Gentle rolled belly to Vee.

Rocker: Flat with gently kicked tail.
